The Shape of St. Catherine's Future Updated 6/12/08 |
Welcome to St. Catherine of Siena Parish in Ithaca, New York, USA. The parishioners of St. Catherine's, the parish staff and I warmly welcome you to our web site. We're pleased you have found us and hope you enjoy reading about us.
Our parish was founded in 1960 by Monsignor Donald Cleary. The new church was dedicated on April 20, 1962. Monsignor William Roche, and Fathers John Maloney, Michael Hogan and Ronald Gaesser have served St. Catherine's as pastors. I became pastor in 2003.
St. Catherine's consists of almost 400 very active families and individuals plus many others who affiliate with us. Weekend mass attendance is over 500. Individuals from all over the world as well as students from Cornell University and Ithaca College enrich our community. We are blessed to be a dynamic, active, friendly, and welcoming faith community.
We invite you to worship with us, whether you are looking to join or are just visiting the area.
Reverend Michael Mahler, Pastor
